Focus on Arctic Challenges at COP29

We embarked on COP29 with a bold mission: to elevate the visibility of the cryosphere, particularly the Arctic cryosphere, in anticipation of the 2025 International Year of Glaciers’ Preservation. In Baku, where 26% of the city's annual water supply relies on snow and ice, we seized the moment to help climate negotiators, heads of state, and ministers grasp the critical importance of this issue.
