Demain, C’est Nous

“The Arctic is dying, and without its sea ice, glaciers, unique flora and fauna, and its people and their traditions, the future of our civilization is at stake. ” Driven by this conviction, Heidi Sevestre, a renowned glaciologist, joined the unconventional project conceived by François Bernard, a technology teacher in La Rochelle, to take his eighth-grade class to Svalbard, near the North Pole.

Together, they conceived this journey as both an adventure and an experiment. The teens returned with the desire to make the “Tomorrow Is Us” project an option offered to all students of the “Greta generation.”

Educating through emotion and fostering empathy for nature are the best ways to make young people aware of the gravity of climate change.
