Driven by her love of snow-covered landscapes, Heïdi Sevestre, a native of Haute-Savoie, decided to become a glaciologist. For her research, she travels the globe to encounter these giants of ice: the Arctic, the Himalayas, Greenland, and Antarctica. But wonder gives way to anxiety: the glaciers are melting at breakneck speed and will disappear within a few decades if we don’t act now. Heïdi Sevestre then speaks out to alert the general public and those in power to the devastation caused by global warming.
